Fill-In Menus/書き込みメニュー/填寫的菜單
Here's another thing I've never seen in the US that is really common in Taiwan. Lots of restaurants have stacks of menus like the ones I artfully photoed above. You take a copy of the menu and write down what you want and give it to the staff instead of telling them and making them write it down for you or memorize it. Basically every cheap eatery around here does things this way. I wonder why this hasn't caught on in fast food places in the US?
日本では見た事は無いけど、台湾では多くの食堂は以上の様なメニューを店に置いている。コピーを一枚を取って、注文したい物を書いてスタッフに渡すだけで、全く喋る必要は無い。中国語喋れないけど漢字が読める人にとってはめっちゃ助かる。
在臺灣以上的這樣的菜單很普遍。可是我在別的國家連一次都沒看過。我覺得很方便。尤其是我剛剛來臺灣的時候還講中文講得不好(現在也還不太好)可是因為我學了日文所以我還看得懂漢子。
