More Seto, More Lighthouse/

I have a couple more photos of Inno Island.  The following two are of houses.  This style of house was really common on this island, but I had actually never seen it before.  The windows are really interesting.

A statue store.  I think.  Some guy probably came up with a hare-brained scheme to make money off of the mountain with Buddha statues and decided "Hey, people like the statues.  I'll sell statues!"  I'm pretty sure he failed because there was a big "Property for Sale" sign out front.

Unrelated to the statue store, the nearby park featured this pretty awesome dinosaur.
And here's the Nishi Seto Bridge, seen from directly below.

You can walk right up on to it from below.  There's a lower level to the bridge with a pedestrian path and a roadway for bikes and motorcycles.  They were thinking properly about tourism and accessibility when they built this bridge.  I want to bike over it some day.

 View from the bridge.

 The pedestrian/bike path.

We went to check out a viewpoint near the bridge, but it was kind of disappointing actually.  You can't see much.
Here's a views of the two levels.

Is that a lighthouse I see below the bridge?  I know where we're going next!

There was actually a lighthouse museum here in front of the actual lighthouse.  We were too late to go in though.  :(

The current is really fast here, so they built this lighthouse back in 1894 to help ships navigate through here.

And here we are racing along the highway to a rest stop where you can see the bridge really well.

Wataru, the mascot character who represents the bridge.  Japanese people love mascot characters, and every single thing or place in the country seems to have a mascot.

Even though we came to this rest area to see the bridge, it was so dark already that we couldn't see much, and I certainly wasn't able to get any good photos.
There's only one day left on this trip.  Next up is Matsuyama City.
