Tie Non: Dongju: Stone Etchings and Dapu/東莒：石刻と大埔/東莒：石刻和大埔村

我們回來東莒！因為西莒只去早上而已所以中午回東莒玩。我想去看東莒的大埔石刻，向南去途中我看到這座廟，靠近看一下。

In the last two posts I talked about Xiju. I actually was only there for the morning, and after returning to Dongju, I still had some time to look around.

前回紹介した西莒は朝しか行っていないので、午後に東莒に戻って来た。島の南部にある「大埔石刻」を見に行ったけど、途中で廟を見かけてちょっと寄ってみた。

然後我發現在廟旁有據點。

Nearby the temple above was this former military base.

そして、近くに基地があった。

「48」的據點聽起來是大家都會想避免的。「會死吧」。

裡面是龍舟的倉庫。

It now serves partly as a storage shed.

基地がペーロン舟の倉庫になっている。

後面有好酷的樓梯。

There was a set of stairs out the back going along the cliffside.

裏にこの階段があった。

非當兵不可的軍人有可能只覺得來這裡很無聊而已，但是從我來說，可以住在這麼漂亮的地方不錯！（可是我還不想自己當兵。）

景色本当にすごかった。

好，接下來我們去看大埔石刻好吧。

Next I headed to the Dapu Inscription at the southernmost point of the island.

では、大埔石刻に行こう！

這裡也有廟。真的很多。

There was another temple.

また廟があった。

今回は頭が大きいおじいちゃんの神様

"Old King Big-Head" Temple

這個石刻是明朝時代一個軍人鏤刻的。我自己看不懂，但是安照觀光資料來說這個石刻標示打敗倭寇的一個事件。

And here's the inscription. It was written by a soldier stationed here in during the Ming dynasty. He wrote of a battle against Wako pirates. "Wako" is a term that the Chinese used for pirates during this time period. The term means "Japanese pirates" even though the pirates were in fact of many different nationalities (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc) and were based not only out of Japan, but also other places in East Asia, including China itself. Basically, lol, the Chinese and Japanese have been finding petty ways to hate on each other for hundreds of years.

この大埔石刻は明朝時代に東莒に派遣された兵士によって刻まれた。この島にあった倭寇との戦いの話らしい。（観光ガイドでその説明を見た。この中国語が分かるわけじゃない。）

There was an interesting looking building nearby.

It turned out to be the public toilets.

接下來我去東犬山，東莒最高點。

Next I went up Dongquan Mountain, the tallest hill on the island.

東犬山という山を登ってみた。島の最高点になっている。

Here's Meng'ao, the current port for the island.

據點變成觀光資源。

There was a former military base on top of the hill.

戦争の役割を果たす為に作られた基地がこんなに花でいっぱい！

對方的村落是大埔。因為這個海口向南，所以以前漁夫按照冬天的季風（從北來的），在冬天使用這裡的海港。（當時夏天是使用福正村的。）現在沒有人住，但是留存很多傳統建築物。

This inlet here used to be the island's winter port. The winds here blow from the north all winter, and this inlet faces south, so it was protected from the wind. The town just above it is Dapu. No one lives there now, but there are still a lot of traditional houses.

向こうに見える村は大埔村。この入江は以前島の冬場の港だった。ここは南に向いているので、冬の季節風の影響をあまり受けない。ちなみに夏の港は前紹介した福正村だった。現在はどっちも使用されなくなって、猛奥港に代わっている。

到了大埔村。施工很多，好像在開拓觀光施設或是修理房子。

And here's Dapu. There was a lot of construction going on. It seems that they are fixing it up to encourage tourism here.

大埔に着いた。現在は誰も住んでいないが、色々な工事をしていて、観光資源として活躍させようとしている様だ。

It's mostly made of seashells and nets and other sea-ish stuff like that.

林坳嶼

Lin'ao Island

「白い馬を尊敬せろ」という法令を出した国王が祀られている。（仮説）まあ、日本には犬将軍いただろう。

在廟旁有行人道。可以下去海口。

There's a path down to the sea here.

And this is where the fishing boats used to come in.

昔の冬港。

其實，我聽說現在有一些從中國來的技術者在這裡幫修理房子。因為馬祖列島好窄，人口不多，所以擁有利用閩東方式來改房這種知識的人已經沒有了。所以只好請中國閩東地方的人來幫忙。（我不確定這是真的。我根據一個島民說的話。）下面的標語最盛的時代跟現在的情況不太一樣！

These buoys had some old, anti-communist slogans painted on them.
