Tie Non: Imabari Castle/今治城/今治城堡

在愛媛除了宮島以外我也去今治市參觀那裡的城堡。

While in Ehime, I also went to Imabari (a city in Ehime) and visited Imabari Castle.

愛媛におる間に、今治城にも行ってみた。

今治城堡很特殊。跟大部分日本的城堡一樣今治城堡有護城河，但是今治城堡跟別的城堡不一樣，護城河裡是海水。這種護城河很少看得到。下面的照片是護城河跟海連接的門。

Imabari Castle is unusual in that its moat contains sea water, not fresh water. In the photo below you can see where the moat connects with the nearby sea.

今治城はかなり独特だ。堀があるのは珍しくないが、今治の場合はその堀が海水でできている。下の写真を見たら、海と繋がっている門が写っている。

照片品質不太好，應該很不容易看到，但是這種魚是住在海水的。在護城河裡看到了。

The photo's not that good, so it's hard to see, but the fish in this photo is one found in salt water. Fish like this were swimming all around in the moat.

画質がよくなくて見ずらいが、この魚は海水に住む魚。これは堀の中に泳いでいた。

一種柑橘。愛媛的柑橘很有名。

Ehime is well-known in Japan for its citrus fruit production. There were some fruits on this tree on the castle grounds.

何かの柑橘類。愛媛だから柑橘類がめっちゃ多い。

又找到了歐吉桑的銅像

Another old man statue

またおじさんの銅像を発見した。今治はこういう趣味みたい。

在城堡裡面有一座神社。

There was a shinto shrine on the castle grounds.

城内に神社がある。

這座神社感覺起來狛犬（石獅）特別多。

The shrine had a large number of guardian dog (komainu) statues.

この神社は特別に狛犬が多かった気がした。

名叫「稻荷」的神的神社。

There was also an Inari shrine.

稲荷神社もあった。

稻荷的象徵是狐狸。

The god, Inari, uses foxes as his messengers.

＿んこで遊んでいる神様のお使い。

在焚燒的大便？

周邊的牆上爬上看看了。

You can actually climb up onto the wall and look down at the moat. There are no guardrails or signs reminding you not to be a moron and fall into the moat. On a related note, America has--per capita--almost ten times more lawyers than Japan does.

周りの塀の上に登ることができる。訴訟大国アメリカ出身の私からすればあり得ない。
