我有一些照片是我去吃魚湯時候的。沒有那麼趣但因為那邊貓很多所以我想把照片貼住。

Just a small set of photos from a local temple. I'm posting these mostly because I want to post the cat photos.

美味しい魚スープの食堂に行った。そんな大した写真は撮っていないが、猫の写真をとにかくポストしたいと思った。

First up: Hayashi Department Store. Just because I passed by it on the way.

Next to the temple is a fish soup restaurant, so lots of cats hang out in the area.

魚湯餐館旁邊不但有貓也有廟。我覺得跑步的鳥很可愛。

この変な歩き方している鳥が好きだった。

富貴角に行った翌日、基隆の灯台を見に行くつもりはあったが、起きるのが遅くて、しかも台湾の東沖に台風が通っていたので、結局やめた。代わりに台北でぶらぶらした。

The day after visiting Fugui Lighthouse, we had originally planned to go and visit the two lighthouses in Keelung, but the weather was a little iffy thanks to a typhoon passing by the east coast of Taiwan, and we got a late start, so we ended up wandering around Taipei instead.

我們去富貴燈塔隔天，原本想要去看基隆的燈塔。但是剛好那時候在台灣東邊有颱風經過。還有我們野起床起得很晚，所以結果決定要在台北逛街一下。

最初に訪れたのは中山堂だった。この建物は元々日本時代に台北市役所（当時は「台北公会堂」）として建てられた。現在はその役割がもうなくなったが、まだ会館として使われている。歴史的な建物、そのうえとても綺麗だから、一般観光客にも常に開放されている。

The first place we checked out was Zhongshan Hall. This is the former Taipei City Hall. It was built under Japanese rule and completed in 1936. It's no longer the city hall, but it still functions as a concert hall, and it's generally open to the public for viewing.

首先去中山堂。這棟是日時建的。以前是「台北公會堂」。現在是一般開放的，可以隨隨便便地進去看看。

Nearby is an old bank building.

附近有中山的銅像。是安照他在長崎演說時候的照片做的。

Nearby is a statue of Zhongshan (Sun Yat-sen) himself. It's apparently based off of a photo of him from when he gave a speech in Nagasaki.

近くに中山（孫文）の銅像がある。この銅像は長崎で演説している孫文の写真が元になっているそうだ。清朝を逃亡した孫文はアメリカ、ハワイなどだけでなく、日本でもけっこう活躍した。

台北の街並み

下面的建築也是日時建的一棟。但跟這邊別的日時建築不一樣，它不是政府的。以前只是一個公司的。

While there are a lot of historical buildings built in the Japanese period in this area of Taipei, most of them are government buildings. This old building is also from the same time period, but it was originally a private company's building.

台北中心の多くの日本時代にできた建物は政府関係の建物だけど、この建物は珍しく一般企業の建物だった。当時はもちろんこんなのいっぱいあったが、その後多くのは取り除かれてなくなった。

We can see a large city gate in the distance as well.

大西門。很漂亮，很有歷史感，但是後面有的白癡放高速公路。很可惜！

And here's the gate from before. Most cities in Taiwan had city walls and gates around them that were constructed in the Qing period. Many of them were torn down during the Japanese period to make way for new streets etc, but some of them still remain. This one is just across from the post office.

台北も台湾の他の古い町と同じく、清朝時代に市塀と門があった。日本時代に入って、都市計画を現代化する為に多くのは壊された。
