Tie Non: Orchid Island: Rocks Shaped Like Things/蘭嶼：変わった石/蘭嶼：怪形岩石

好，我們看完了氣象觀測站。接下來我們下山好不好？

Let's get down from the mountain where the meteorological station is.

では、気象観測台のある山から降りましょう。

On the way down I spot a bird.

鳥おった！

白色的鳥！

And here's a white bird.

今回は何かの白い鳥

饅頭岩。真的看起來饅頭的樣子。

This rock looks like a mantou. Mantous are steamed buns that people usually eat for breakfast.

この石は「饅頭岩」という。

在海港旁邊有一座小小廢墟的燈塔。

Near the island's harbor is this mini-lighthouse.

港の近くにこの小さい灯台がある。

またトカゲ見つけた。

It appears to be unused at this point.

很可愛！

可愛い！もう使われていない様だ。

從這裡海港看得清楚。

We can see the harbor clearly from here.

灯台の中身

我知道我已經把蘭嶼燈塔的照片貼過了，但那些照片是晚上拍的。這些是中午拍的。

Even though I came here already, that was in the evening, so I wanted to come again during the middle of the day. So here's Orchid Island Lighthouse, again.

前回のポストでも蘭嶼灯台の写真を載せたけど、それは夜の写真だった。昼間に戻ってきたので、もう一回紹介させてもらう。

The place is crawling with goats

立ち入り禁止の看板を堂々と無視しているヤギ達

在燈塔這邊有一個地方叫做「小天池」。有時候有水，但平常是乾的。問有沒有步道，算是有的，可是植物很多，有一點難走。

Near the lighthouse is a trail that leads to Siaotianchih (small heaven pond). It's a depression on top of a fairly flat mountain that sometime fills with water. It's only about a 15 minute walk, but you do have to push through a lot of plant life, so it's a little hard going. Not too bad though.

灯台の近くの山に「小天池」というところがある。時々水が溜まっているから「池」の字が付いている。道は植物で茫々だから、ちょっと歩きにくい、でも15分ぐらいで着く。

見つけた！水が溜まっていないが。

沒有水。

超級乾燥。為什麼？誰寫的？太無聊了！

Ha ha. There's no water now, so it's "super dry", just like the clothing brand! Ha ha ha. Ha. Not funny. (And why is Super Dry popular in Taiwan anyway? Taiwanese people can read Chinese characters, and I don't understand how one could wear a Super Dry shirt if one was aware of how bad the "Japanese" on it is.)

イギリス服ブランド「スーパードライ」は、デザインに変な漢字を利用しているにもかかわらず台湾でも人気がある。誰かがふざけて、この乾燥した土地に「スーパードライ」を書いた。

Down the mountain

アダンの実を見つけた。

すごい学校。庭にパパイアも植えられているし、景色もめっちゃ綺麗。

I took some photos of this elementary school's grounds because I was impressed by the view and the papaya tree conveniently located on campus. What spoiled kids!

達悟文化的博物館

Here's the Tao Cultural Center.

タオ族の文化資料館

有兩棟傳統房子。可以進去看看。

Next to the center are two traditional home replicas.

文化資料館の隣りに伝統的な家がある。中入ってみていい。

博物館的東西可以拍照。

And some art pieces inside the center.

按照我看的資料，除了達悟以外以前台灣的原住民都沒有五金技術。只是達悟有。這是他們的鋼盔。

Apparently, the Tao are the only aboriginal people in Taiwan who practiced metal working before contact with the outside world. This is one of their traditional masks.

以前、台湾の先住民はみんな金属の技術がなかったらしい。唯一例外はこの島のタオだけだった。昔からこんなヘルメットを作っている。

、、、我忘記了這是哪裡。不好意思。但是下面照片的島嶼應該是軍艦岩，所以這裡應該是蘭嶼北東部。

I forgot where these photos below are from, but it must be the north east coast judging by the view of Warship Rock (the island in some of the photos below).
