Tie Non: Last Taipei Post/台北の最後のポスト/最後一個臺北的po

I'm uploading my remaining photos from Taipei into one post here. Most of them are from the Botanical Gardens still.

台北の旅の残っている写真を全部アップする。

A Weeping Willow

Traveler's Palms. We'll get a better look at them below.
タビビトノキは近くからあまり様子が分からない。下に遠くから撮った写真もある。
有一些旅人蕉。因為我離它很近，所以樣子看不清楚。下面還有離遠的照片。

Billbergia Pyramidalis. We caught it in bloom too!

A Taro. The photos in the last post of leaves that looked like this but bigger were all "Elephant Ears", but this one is the kind people eat.
里芋。前回の写真は全部里芋の仲間だったけど、これは実際に食できるやつ。
上次有很多大大的海芋族的照片。但是這是能吃的芋頭。

And here's that better view of the Traveler's Palms that I promised. They can get very tall, as you can see.
上記のタビビトノキ。高いだろ？
上面我寫的旅人蕉。

I love these basins. Each one is its own separate little world; totally chaotic inside, but each and every one has the same clean, box borders.

どれも四角い堺があるが、中身はそれぞれ違うから面白い。

I forgot to take photos of the signs next to the plants here, so I'm not sure what they are.
下の植物は標識の写真を撮るのを忘れたので、名前が分からない。

I really wish I had remembered to check what this tree is. I love these flowers, and I see them all around Tainan.
しょっちゅう台南でもこの木を見かける。花がすごく綺麗。
也在台南常常看到這種樹。

It must be hard to keep cactuses from rotting in Taipei's humid climate.

This is some sort of Pandanus tree. There are a bunch of different species. They're pretty striking trees, with their strange fruits, roots, and the maze of branches they have.

小笠原諸島に「タコノキ」という木がある。この木がちょうどその種類か、仲間の種類かはっきり分からないが、根っこを見たら名前の由来がすぐ分かると思う。

林投，還是類似的種類。

A Japanese-style house that was in the garden.

日本式の家があった。

日式的房子。

A lotus pond with a history museum visible in back.

蓮がいっぱい植えられた池の後ろに歴史博物館がある。

後面是歷史博物館。

This bird was so still at first that it looked like a prop.
色んな鳥が池の中で餌を探している。

The history museum from before, this time from the front.

And across the way is an elite boy's high school
男子高校
名門的男子高中。

A museum dedicated to the 2/28 Massacre. It's quite a nice building. I wish I'd had time to go in and check it out.

I was trying to take a photo of something outside the window, but I ended up with a photo of the heart mark on the window instead.

バスのハートマークじゃなくて、外の写真を撮りたかったのに！

雖然我想拍外面可是只拍了窗上的心型而已。

An impressive old building. I think this might have been the residence of the governor of Taiwan back in the Japanese colonial era. Or something like that.

これはたぶん日本統治時代の建物。もしかして台湾総督が住んでいた邸宅かもしれない。

這應該是日時代總督的府邸。是嗎？
