I'm actually a couple weeks late with this bit of "news", but the Small West Gate (in the location, confusingly, formerly occupied by the Small East Gate) has finished being restored and is again viewable. This gate is one of the remaining gates from Tainan's old city walls, and is currently located on Cheng Kung University's campus. It was under construction and mostly covered up for a good half year or so. They appear to have restored the walls next to it and to have placed some cannons nearby. Additionally, there are some new, informative plaques. All in all a good deal!
私は報告するのがかなり遅れているが、（もう何週間前の出来事なんだけど）小西門は復活した！小西門は清朝時代、台南の門の一つだ。当時の塀はほとんど日本時代に壊されたけど、少しだけ遺っている。現在は小西門が成功大学のキャンパスに移動されてある。実は、ここは元々小東門があった場所らしい。
半年ぐらい工事中だった小西門はやっと再び見える様になった。隣りの塀が改造されて、砲台も設けられた。いい感じなっているだろ？
已經幾週前的訊息（我到了現在才有時間寫下來了）但是在成大的小西門改造完了！大概半年是在改造中，因為被蓋，所以大部分都看不到。現在又看得到了！改造的部分包括鄰邊的牆，還有也設備砲台。很棒！
