Here are some photos from Meow Lee City, where I stayed during my last trip up north. I stayed in the charming Hsinhsin Hotel. This is a family-run hotel right near Meow Lee train station. It's been around since the 1950's, and they purposefully keep the interior looking much like it probably did when it first opened. The owner is also very friendly, the rooms are clean and pleasant, and it's a surprisingly inexpensive place to stay.
They have some old gadgets in some of the common areas such as this phone line junction...
...and this Taiwanese made spherical fan.
The front entrance.
So now here are some photos from when I was driving around the city in the morning.
A morning market
There's a temple in the middle of the market.
There was also some cool, old buildings in the area.
Here's a temple (One Chong Temple) that was built by the local intellectuals back in the day.
Some more old buildings.
And that's it for Meow Lee City. Next time I'm going to post some photos from the Meow Lee countryside.
