今日は苗栗市内の写真を語る。私は「新興大旅社」（新興ホテル）に泊まった。ここは本当におすすめできる。家族経営のホテルで、デザインは１９５０年代開いた当時のまま。そして、オーナーはとても優しくて、宿泊費も意外と安い。

Here are some photos from Meow Lee City, where I stayed during my last trip up north.  I stayed in the charming Hsinhsin Hotel.  This is a family-run hotel right near Meow Lee train station.  It's been around since the 1950's, and they purposefully keep the interior looking much like it probably did when it first opened.  The owner is also very friendly, the rooms are clean and pleasant, and it's a surprisingly inexpensive place to stay.

今天我要介紹一些苗栗市的照片。我上次去苗栗時，我住在新興大旅社。這裡真的不錯！室內設計保有剛才開始1950年代的樣子。老闆也很好，價錢也意外地便宜。

Everything about the look of the building just screams post-war Taiwan.

朝市の中に廟がある。

There's a temple in the middle of the market.

古い建物も結構あった。日本時代のものじゃないかなと思う。

There was also some cool, old buildings in the area.

老房子

文昌祠という廟。１８８２年に建立、最近のレニューアルが２００２年に終わった。孔子など教学と関係人物が祀られている。

Here's a temple (One Chong Temple) that was built by the local intellectuals back in the day.
