Spelling in Taiwan (again)//台湾での綴り方(続編)/拼音的方法

It's officially the rainy season here!  It's actually rather nice because the cloud cover seems to have cooled things off bit.
I came across another interesting example of the looseness of spelling Mandarin in Taiwan.  We have here a local high school that has spelled its name two different ways on signs that are right near each other.  (The sign from the photo is just to the left of the entrance, and the bottom photo is the facade of the school as seen from the main entrance.)  "DACHENG" or "DA-CHERNG"?  Anything goes!
